BICHOLIM: People turned in large numbers at Bicholim for the outreach program held today in Bicholim. Various Government Departments made their services available for the public in Bicholim and Mayem constituencies.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said this is a good sign when State is celebrating 60 Years of Goa Liberation.
Chief Minister was speaking after inaugurating the Government at your doorstep program in Bicholim. The general public from Bicholim and Mayem constituencies availed the benefits pertains to various schemes of State Government.
Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Shri Rajesh Patnekar and others graced the occasion.
Praising the dedicated services of Government Officials and Officers, Dr Sawant said, Government has initiated major drives to make Goa Swayampurn in which Swayampurna Mitra, a Government officer, is nominated for every Panchayat and Municipalities.
Chief Minister said Government is working on Antyodaya to serve and reach out to the last person of the society and ongoing activities is one part of it, he added. Pravin Zantye, MLA, Mayem, Secretary, Revenue, IAS, Shri Sanjay Kumar, IAS; District Collector, North, Shri Ajit Roy, IAS,and Shri Kundan Falari, Chairperson, Bicholim Municipal Council were present on occasion.
CM distributed sanction orders to covid relief beneficiaries under the Ex gratia relief fund to the families of Covid 19 victims.
Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Shri Rajesh Patnekar said Government has brought Government Departments at the doorstep of the public, which is very much worthy. He appealed to the Government Officers to clear the pending files of the public in these areas.
Speaker Shri Patnekar appealed to the Government to carry such initiatives regularly in the state of Goa. He said such an interactive program should happen in all talukas.
Praveen Zantye also spoke on occasion.
Shri Kundan Falari welcoming briefed about the idea behind having such an outreach program in Bicholim taluka. Shri Dattaprasad Jog compered, and Shri Vishwas Chodankar proposed a vote of thanks.
Later, Chief Minister interacted with Sarpanch and Swayampurna Mitras from Bicholim and Mayem. Chief Minister also listened to the grievances of the public and assured to resolve the same.
