CURCHOREM:
Starting his campaign on Dussehra day, Curchorem Congress ticket aspirant Amit Patkar said that listening to people’s issues and resolving them would be his priority in the first round of door to door campaign.
Speaking to media at Shivaji Chowk, Curchorem after garlanding the Shivaji statue, Patkar began the campaign after taking the blessings of Chandreshwar Bhutnath, Damodar Devasthan, Shri Betal, Kakoda, Mahadev Temple Kudchade.
He further said that the door to door visits start from this day and that he has planned to visit each household in 30 days.
Patkar stated that his door to door visits are not to ask for votes but to listen to the people’s grievances, problems, and suggestions so as to prepare “Agenda for Vibrant Kudchade”.
“My visit is to listen to every household because through this exercise I will learn & understand what people want” Kudchade will become vibrant only when development takes place while understanding the need and requirements of people of Curchorem. It is people who will make it vibrant through their participation. Of course, my next round with people will be to ask for their support and vote, Patkar added.
When asked on which ticket he would contest from Curchorem, Patkar said the ticket is not the major issue and avoided a straight answer saying the task is to make the Congress party listen to the people’s voice.
Earlier, Amit Patkar and Entire Curchorem Congress Block members and a band of around hundred supporters offered cocoanut at Chandreshwar Bhutnath, Damodar Devasthan, Shri Betal, Kakoda, Shri Mahadev Temple Kudchade, invoking divine blessings for the Vibrant Kudchade initiative.
