PANAJI: After a gap of 2 months, PI Suraj Gawas has been transferred to the police station in Anjuna.
Following the suspension of two PSIs and police station in-charge Prashal Naik Dessai for suspected neglect of duty in relation to the Assagao house demolition and kidnapping case, the position remained unfilled for nearly two months.
Since then, the Anjuna police station has been under the additional supervision of Calangute Police Inspector Paresh Naik.
Gawas worked in the DGP’s office as a crime reader. On June 27, the three policemen were placed on leave following the Chief Secretary’s investigation into the event.
