PANAJI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured all the necessary support to Goa Government for carrying out relief activities.
CM Sawant had spoken to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the flooding situation in Goa and briefed him
about the widespread damage caused in the State.
“The HM has assured all the necessary support for carrying out relief activities,” said CM Sawant
CM Sawant further said that PM Narendra Modi called to inquire about the safety and well-being of the people in the prevailing flooding situation in Goa due to incessant rains.
“The PM has assured full support and assistance to the State,” CM said
Several parts of Goa, including Sattari and Bicholim tehsils in the north and Dharbandora in the south, are reeling under a flood-like situation, and a large number of houses were inundated as the water level of some rivers rose following heavy rains over the past few days.
