CANACONA: Canacona MLA and Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar came in for some special praises for his organisational capabilities and skills from the speakers on the second day of the 3-days Lukosthav-24 being held at AdarshGram, Amone, Poinguinim.
Minister for Social Welfare Subhash Phaldessai who was the chief guest on the second day of lukosthav-24 was the first to Canacona MLA and GLA Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar to the likes of Bagwan Birsa Munda stating Tawadkars working style is iconic and of a personified person, and gave the example of Tawadkar’s Shram-Dham concept where houseless people are built with houses, has become popular not only in Canacona and Goa, but all ove the country too! ‘Whatever, he brings in his mind he does it with great devotion and enthusiasm.
Lokotsav-24, is organized at Adarsh Gram, Amone in association with Adarsh Yuva Sangh, Shri Balaram Shikshan Sanstha, Directorate of Tribal Welfare and is participated by every tribal communities of the State and beyond.
On this occasion, Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar, the Founder Presidentof Adarsh Yuva Sangh,, Rajya Sabha MP and President of Scheduled Tribes Morcha Sameer Oraon, MP Ramchandra Rao, Member Secretary of State Biodiversity Management Committee Dr. Pradip Sarmokadam, Treasurer of BJP ST Morcha Ravindraji, Canacona BJP Mandal President Vishal Desai, Poinguinim Sarpanch Savita Tawadkar, Sarpanch (Loliem-Polem) Nisha Chari, Sarpanch (Shristhal) Sejal Gaonkar, Vrinda Velip, Priyanka Velip, Loliem-polem Dt. Sarpanch Chandrakant Sudhir, Poonam Gaonkar, and several others were present.
dignitaries lit the traditional Lamp and inaugurated the public program of the second day of Lokotsav-24, during the first session of the three-day Lokotsav-24.
Teachers and students of the higher secondary school of Ardhafond of Balaram Educational Society presented the welcome song. Kavita Naik Gawkar, in-charge of the higher secondary school, welcomed the dignitaries and presented with bouquets of flowers.
Speaking on this occasion, Speaker Ramesh Tavadkar in his speech reviewing the educational quality and situation in the remote areas of the taluka till 1994, said Balram Education Society(BES) (with Tawadar as Chairman) was started in 2008 and said today it has achieved many successes. Today there are 450 resident students, 7 institutions and more than one thousand students studying in the various pre-primary, primary , high schools and higher secondary started by BES.
Coaching is being given for competitive exams. Today, after 70 years, we want to go back to the roots to find humane and humanity once again. . ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his desire to attend the 25th Lokotsav next year after taking note of this quantum of work.’, Said Tawadkar.
Dignitaries from different parts of Goa, who have done outstanding work in various fields, were felicitated at the hands of the guests with shawls, flowers, bouquets, momentous and certificates.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Oraon said that today’s age is digital age. The purpose of the government is to make life happy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced Lord Birsa Munda and brought back other great personalities who were forgotten and kept away from the limelight to the society. Modi ji is doing the work of giving the right direction to the society by building a formula, he needs everyone’s cooperation and trust. Dignitaries on the dais were honored with mementos by the Speaker Tawadkar.
