CANACONA: A youth from Idhar-Poinguinim has developed and built a Wooden Special Electrical Vehicle (EV) as an exclusive measure to distribute Prasad of Lord Parashuram at its Temple at Poinguinim.
The EV vehicle was designed and built by Pankaj Premanand Chari of Idhar-Poinguinim taking two-and-a-half months to make arrangements for only one seat, to ensure no other person accompanied nor occupied the vehicle, as Lord Parashuram Prasad had to be distributed by only one person/priest.
It is learnt that the temple priest along with nived-prasad has to walk barefoot along traditional turned unsafe pathways passing through- forests for over 1 km distances day-by-day making it difficult for the Bhatji to proceed for distribution of Nived Prasad.
Then the idea hit Pankaj’s mind and gave birth to this Innovation to make it much easier and less tedious for the temple priest to distribute the Nived Prasad to the devotees.
The All-Wooden EV vehicle designed in the form of a rickshaw has three tyres, only the Driver’s seat and its body is built with wooden planks and utilises need-based two fibre-boards on either side to enable bend on its roof.
‘It is designed and built exclusively for Parashuram Temple to facilitate the distribution of Lord Parashuram Niveda Prasad which needs to be distributed to distant places. The speciality of this prasad distribution is without accompanied by another person, only one person/priest has to distribute the prasad.’, Pankaj Chari explained his Innovation.
Chari further informed that with a one-time Battery Charge, the vehicle can run up to 200 kilometres. Some different mechanism is given in place of its suspension. The vehicle will jump if suspension is used, so it is without any shock absorbers and we used different methods to make it sweet and safe to drive.
As to its capacity, it can carry up to 4 persons, but since it is built for distribution of Lord Parshuram Prasad it is designed with only one Seat of Driver.
‘The cost is approximately 1.40 lakhs of rupees. It took me 2 & ½ months to build it as literally over a month is spent only to identify and bring its parts from different places. But now a new one can be built in 1 & ½ months time’.
Stated now he can design and build similar types of vehicles meant for any temples or for any other specialized use can be done still in a shorter time and he is ready to take up the challenge, Pankaj said he can be contacted on number -8208650832.
