PANAJI: Mapusa Police have arrested three persons for committing theft and decamping with 25 packets of branded cigarettes along with other other material amounting to Rs 40,000.
The police have arrested Vishal Narsingh Sherkhane, aged 51 years R/o Bijali Chouk, Jawaharnagar, Kolhapur, Maharashtra and 2) Mr. Vikas Vinayak Kesarkar, aged 32 years R/o Wdgaon, Vishnugalli, Belguam, Karnataka.
As per information, the accused effected entry into complainant’s Shop styled as “TARAMATI GENERAL STORE” by break opening the locks installed on main entrance and decamped with Total 25 Packets of Cigarette make GOLDFLAKE, MARBALO LIGHT, 2. Total 10 packets of Chocolates make Dark fantasy, 3.
Also, a total of 08 bottles of hand Sanitizer make BISLERY, 4 Total 06 bottles of parachute hair oil, 5. Total 128 packets of Shampoo make SUNSILK. 6. Total 10 cold drink bottle make MAZZA. 7. Total 12 Pieces of LAZOR blades. 8. Total 12 100 pages Note book.9. Total 12 200 pages Note book 10. Cash of Rs. 22,000/- all property W/Rs. 40,000/
During the course of investigation staff after developing the information through local intelligent and technical surveillance and after meticulous efforts intercepted White Colour Maruti Alto car bearing No. MH-09-AB-5845 at Cuchelim, Mapusa, Bardez, Goa and during their Personal search stolen property was found in the possession, also one White Colour Maruti Alto car bearing No. MH-09-AB-5845 was attached along with one scabbard knife, one metal bar hook from the instance of the accused person which was used to break the door lock and same was attached under the panchanama.
During interrogation both the above accused admitted of their involvement in the above crime. Accordingly accused persons were placed under arrest in above crime on 09/07/2021 at 21.51hrs.
Accused Person were produced before JMFC Court Mapusa and remanded to 02 days Police Custody.
