PANAJI: In a Spectacular recognition of his unique contribution in combating Cybercrime, Police Inspector Vidyanand Pawar from Cyber Crime Police Station has been awarded with the Prestigious National FICCI Smart Policing Award, in the Training and Capacity Building Category. Every year the FICCI Awards are presented by the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Delhi to the deserving Police Officials from across the state Police for their Innovative work.
PI Vidyanand Pawar is the First Police Officer from Goa Police to receive such Award for his Outstanding Contribution. He has led several initiatives aimed at educating the authorities and society about the growing threats in the digital world. His efforts include performing special innovative training programs for law enforcement personnel, as well as launching public awareness campaigns to help individuals protect their personal information online, for Cyber Safety and Security.
The Award Ceremony was held on 04 March 2025 in FICCI House, Delhi. The PI Vidyanand Pawar received the Award from the hands of Shri G K Pillai, IAS, Former Union Home Secretary, Government of India. The valuable guidance from SP Cyber Crime Shri Rahul Gupta, IPS helped him in receiving this Prestigious Award.
This recently appreciated a series of prestigious awards that accept his innovation, dedication and hard work. In 2024 he was awarded the Goa Police Swabhimaan Award, in 2023 he received Bharatiya Samaj Ratna Award and in 2022 he has received Goa Bhushan Award for his Excellent Services Towards Society, for Online public safety and security.
