PANAJI: In a major political twist, RGP has decided to discuss seat sharing with Congress on 3 conditions ahead of Lok Sabha elections.
“Ready to discuss seat sharing with Congress on a condition it adheres to 3 conditions: declare ‘Mhadei will only be for Goans’, ‘demolish slums on comunidade lands’, and accept P.O.G.O bill,” said RGP President and North Goa Lok Sabha Candidate Manoj Parab.
He further said that if not they need to define P.O.G.O. to wait till April 20 for consensus.
“The election scenario has been heating up in Goa. With all candidates declared, it’s now people of Goa has 3 each candidate in North and South Goa,” he added.
Parab said that INDIA alliance seat sharing is questionable in some states for example in Punjab.
“It’s not clear whether they are together i.e. AAP and Congress are together or not,” he added.
He also stated that his party never received any proposal to join hands with the INDI alliance but on the other hand, Congres is claiming that they had given an offer to RGP.
“It’s completely false, we have never received any proposal asking RGP to join the India alliance. They have been fooling and telling people they had indeed given a formal invitation,’ he stated.
On being constantly termed as the B-team of BJP, Parab said that he is fed up with answering the same question over and over again.
“We have time and again clarified that RGP is the real opponent of BJP. And if anybody has proof that RGP is a B-team of BJP then let them produce the proof first before making such wild claims,” Parab added.
