PONDA: Ponda Police arrested two persons, Rajeshkumar S/o Mahadevappa Kumar, R/o Usgao Ponda N/o Karnataka and Sharat S/o Anand Naik, r/o Usgao ponda Goa N/o Orissa for committing theft of a two water pumps and truck batteries from Ponsulem, Dharbandora, Goa.
Ponda Police Station had received a complaint from one Mr Rajesh S/o Vaikunth Kurtiker, resident of Ponsulem, Dharbandora, that his two water pumps and truck batteries from his farm were stolen by some unknown person.
During the investigation, Ponda Police apprehended the accused persons Rajeshkumar S/o Mahadevappa Kumar, R/o Usgao Ponda N/o Karnataka and Sharat S/o Anand Naik, r/o Usgao Ponda Goa N/o Orissa and recovered two water pumps and truck batteries and upon interrogation, they confessed to the commission of the crime.
The accused person Mr Sharat S/o Anand Naik, r/o Usgao Ponda Goa N/o Orissa, was admitted to SDH Ponda.
Further, they are being interrogated for similar crimes in the Ponda jurisdiction. Ragunath Gawas is investigating the case under the supervision of Ponda PI Vijaykumar Chodankar.
