Curtorim: In a decisive semifinal match held at the DSYA Ground in Curtorim on Monday, Raia Sporting Club cemented their place in the final of the 1st Vauradencho Ixtt Trophy by defeating Guardian Angel SC Curchorem with a convincing 2-0 score. This inter-village football tournament, organized by Margao Sports Club in association with Batora United Club, saw Raia Sporting Club dominate the game through the stellar performance of Swidon Barbosa.
Barbosa was the standout player, scoring both goals for Raia Sporting Club in the 17th and 34th minutes of the match. His brace secured the victory and propelled his team to the final, where they will face Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the same venue.
The match was attended by notable figures, including Joseph Mathew, Senior Executive of 108 Ambulance, who served as the chief guest. Mathew presented the Man of the Match award to Swidon Barbosa, recognizing his exceptional contribution to the team’s success.
