PERNEM: A 37-year-old Rajasthan native died after lightning struck him at Hankhane, Pernem.
The deceased identified as Kalu Mali s/o Sohan Mali, age 37 yrs, r/o n/o Village-Pansal, Tehsil-Suvana, District-Bhilwara, Rajasthan who was working at Hankane, Pernem was brought dead to PHC Cansarvarnem.
The incident occurred when the deceased along with his other two co-workers were taking shelter under the temporary erected shade of plastic tarpaulin due to heavy rainfall and lightning. He was strike by lightning as a result of which he fell unconscious on the ground.
Enquiry revealed that today at around 17:45hrs while deceased along with his other two co-workers were taking shelter under the temporary erected shade of plastic tarpaulin due to heavy rainfall and lightning, he was strike by lightning as a result of which he fell unconscious on the ground () Conducted Inquest panchanama and dead body sent for preservation at GMC Bambolim Mortuary .
