CALANGUTE: In the continuing drive against narcotic drugs, Calangute Police Team, in a raid, has apprehended a Rajasthan native on charges of possession of drugs.
The accused has been identified as Bhanwarlal Bishnoi, aged 47 years, a native of Jodhpur, Rajasthan and presently residing at Calangute.
According to police, in the early morning today, he was apprehended for illegally possessing 1,675 grams Ganja worth Rs 1,67,500 in a bag.
The accused person is being produced before JMFC Mapusa for securing police custody.
PSI Rajaram Bhagkar is conducting further investigations in this case under the supervision of PI Nolasco Raposo and overall supervision of SDPO, Porvorim Edwin Colaco and SP North Bousset Silva.
Police have said that further investigation is currently on in the case.
