PONDA: Rajesh Faldesai Panel secured today majority in Goa Dairy BoD Election. The BoD election for Goa Dairy was held yesterday and counting was held today.
Among 12 Members BODs nine were elected from Rajesh Faldesai Panel, while only two were elected from Sahakari Panel and one from Shrikant Naik panel. There was tie among votes secured by former Chairman Shrikant Naik and Vikas Prabu as both secured 55 votes each following which winner by decided by toss wherein Shrikant Naik was declared winner.
Speaking to media after election results Rajesh Faldesai said Goa Dairy presently going through critical stage. Goa Dairy Milk sale is downed. There is need of hard work and that his panel would work for survival and development of Goa Dairy. There is challenge to increase the sale of milk which has been lowered. The farmers would be given better rates for their milk. The non functional cattlfeed plant would be made operational. He said the BOD chairman would be decided in meeting after one week.
Rajesh Faldesai is former Chairman and his nine members panel elected are namely Rajesh Faldesai, Gurudas Parab, Vithoba Desai, Ulhas Sinari, Vijaykant Gaonkar, Baburao Desai, Uday Prabu, Babu Falo, Nitin Prabu.
Two elected from former Chairman Madhav Sahakari panel includes Madhav Sahakari and Anup Desai . Shrikant Naik former Chairman elected from his panel.
Goa Dairy Administration was looked after by Government appointed Administrator for past three and half years after RCS disqualified seven BoDs, MD and some former directors and also dissolved Goa Dairy Board that has taken charge in 2017 following inquiry reports of mismanagement in Goa Dairy.
