PANAJI: Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry will be hosting first regional workshop for the Western and Central Zones at Taj Vivanta, St Inez, on February 20, 2022.
The workshop will be chaired by the Special Secretary (Logistics), DPIIT and invitees to this event are Principal Secretaries and Senior Representatives from State Departments of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
The workshop is aimed at promoting the wider adoption of PM Gati Shakti for holistic planning, and it is a step toward mainstreaming project planning on the State Master Plan (SMP). This workshop is being conducted to sensitize and train State Officials to mainstream usage of SMP for planning, implementation and monitoring of infrastructure and social projects.
The workshop will help identify gaps and develop tools for increased connectivity to economic nodes and clusters. Thus it will improve outreach and usage of planning of PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (NMP).
The workshop will be attended by the scientists and consultants involved in PM Gati Shakti NMP from each state.
