PANAJI: The Directorate of Art and Culture organized the Dekhava Competition for Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandals in Goa.
The contest is organized to preserve and promote age-old traditions to make Dekhava and provide a platform for the creation of talents of youths in Goa, this year total of 18 Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandals participated in the Dekhava competition.
The results of the State-Level Dekhava Competition 2023 have been announced. The first prize of ₹35,000 was awarded to Brahmeshwar Yuvak Sangh Akhada, St. Estevam, Tiswadi. The second prize of ₹30,000 went to Korgao Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal, Corgao, Pernem, and the third prize of ₹25,000 was secured by Sarvajanik Saraswati Utsav Mandal, Golwada, Kumbarjua, Tiswadi. Harmal Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal, Madhalawada, Harmal, Pernem, claimed the fourth prize of ₹20,000, while the fifth prize of ₹15,000 was awarded to Shantadurga Kala & Krida Sangh, Non-Mon, Vasco-da-Gama.
Additionally, five consolation prizes of ₹10,000 each were given to the Yuva Panaji, Mala, Panaji, Sarvajanik Ganeshutsav Mandal Tudav, Tudav, Netravali, Sanguem, Shree Bal Ganesh Sarvajanik Ganeshutsav Mandal, Kazur, Quepem, Sarvajanik Ganeshutsav Mandal, Cusmane, Quepem, Shree Ram Mandir Devasthan Samiti, Rambhuvan Wada, Kumbarjua, Tiswadi.
Shri Naguesh Desai, Shri Sachin Naik and Shri Bhisaji Gadekar judged the Dekhava competition.
The Winners of the Dekhava Competition will be awarded certificates and cash prizes (ECS Mode) at a special function to be organized by the Directorate of Art & Culture which will be informed to the winners well in advance.
