PORVORIM: Power Minister Sudin Dhavlikar informed the house today, the cabinet has approved the implementation of the revised solar power policy within the next week.
According to him, this will increase the amount of green energy produced and used within the state and decrease the amount of power purchased from outside the state.
Instead of investing the funds in solar and other green power-generating projects in Goa, the opposition questioned the acquisition of green power worth Rs 16 crore from a trader in Arunachal Pradesh.
CM was informed that purchasing green power from approved traders is mandatory in accordance with GERC regulations.
