Panaji: Risers rode on a fine unbeaten half-century by Dattaprasad Shirodkar (52*) to complete a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over 18 Juners in the last league match of the Advocates Cricket League (ACL T20) 2025, at GCA ground, Porvorim on Tuesday.
Risers, having collected 8 points from 5 matches, jumped to second place in the six-team standings. 18 Juners, meanwhile, suffered their fifth straight defeat to remain winless and without a point in the tournament.
After the completion of the league phase, United Brothers top the six-team standings with 8 points and NRR of 0.990. They are followed by Risers (8 points, 0.828 NRR), Lawyer Challengers (6 points, 1.066 NRR), Lotlikar Lions (4 points, 0.036 NRR), Legal Titans (4 points, -0.509 NRR), and 18 Juners (0 points, -2.564 NRR).
18 Juners won the toss and opted to bat first with a clear intention of posting a big total on the board. However, the disciplined bowling from Risers restricted them to a moderate 131/6 in 20 overs.
Pradesh Dangui top-scored with 35, while Rushabh Sawaikar and Sanjay Parab made contributions of 27 and 25 runs respectively
Vaibhav Namshikar was the most impressive bowler for Risers, taking 2 for 27. While Dattaraj Arondekar, Dattaprasad Shirodkar, and Anoop Kudtarkar took one wicket each.
Risers overhauled the 132-run target in just 14 overs, with Dattaram Shirodkar scoring a fine unbeaten 52. Abhinav Marathe remained not out on 34.
18 Juners’ Rohan Shirodkar took 2/17 and Rohan Parulekar claimed 1/10.
Dattaprsad Shirodkar was adjudged the player of the match.
