MARGAO: Two people who were allegedly involved in the theft of railroad materials were successfully apprehended by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) stationed in Madgaon.
The perpetrators, Manjunath H.R. of Mandya, Karnataka, and Sameer Gokak, a resident of Sanjose De-areial Salcete, South Goa, were found in possession of the stolen goods, which included electric copper cable valued at Rs. 27,880/-.
The theft of the stolen goods was made possible by the RPF’s hard work, and this was a significant step in the direction of stopping crimes like these that jeopardize the integrity of the railroad system.
Both of the suspects were brought before the Madgaon Judicial Magistrate First Class after the required legal processes were completed. One of the accused was granted conditional bail, while the other is being held in RPF custody for three days while an investigation is conducted.
Further investigation into the matter is underway to uncover any accomplices or related criminal activities, and the RPF in Madgaon is continuing its diligent efforts to ensure the safety and security of railway assets.
