CURCHOREM: The Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council Chairperson, Dr Jasmine Braganza, said that the government has sanctioned Rs.56 lakhs to each councillor of CCMC to undertake developmental activities in their respective wards.
She said while welcoming the gathering after PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral inaugurated the existing Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) public garden in her ward at Carriamoddi-Curchorem which was renovated and installed many latest gymnasium equipment for the use of public particularly for the children at an estimated cost of Rs.14 lakhs.
She thanked the local MLA and Minister Cabral for supporting the councillors in undertaking the developmental activities in their respective wards. “Government has sanctioned Rs.56 lakhs for each councillor to undertake various developmental activities in their respective wards due to efforts and cooperation of the MLA ” said Braganza and urged the public to be health conscious, particularly the women, and to make the maximum use of the equipment provided to them in the garden.
Later speaking as a Chief Guest, Cabral said that sewerage and underground cabling work including the laying of water pipeline on both the sides of the road is almost complete and after that no more digging of roads will be done. “The remaining overhead electricity wires will be removed very soon and so also the new building of the UP-Graded Primary Health Centre will be inaugurated within next six months with maximum basic facilities including 24 hours pharmacy, morgue and kidney dialysis.” said Cabral and assured to complete all the ongoing projects within next two years.
