PERNEM: Mopa Police has arrested a Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) Employee for kidnapping and raping a high school minor girl.
The employee who was on the run since Thursday had been arrested this morning.
The 13-year-old confided in her instructor, who then told the principal about the situation. After receiving a complaint, the Pernem police quickly reported the incident.
“The SAG had sent out some of its employees to train students in sports. He became friends with the victim during this period and then sexually assaulted and harassed her, according to law enforcement authorities.
It has also come to light that the accused drove her to Arambol and Morjim, where he carried out the crime. He continued to send the student lewd messages on her Instagram account.
The Pernem police have registered an offence under sections 376(rape), 363(kidnapping) and 354(outraging modesty) of IPC, relevant sections of the POCSO Act, Goa Children’s Act and IT Act.
