Bambolim: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday inaugurated the newly constructed Sainik Aramgarh (Rest House) at Bambolim, a dedicated facility for serving defence personnel and ex-servicemen visiting the State.
Built at a total cost of ₹10 crore with joint support from the Government of India and the Government of Goa, the rest house is aimed at providing dignified and comfortable accommodation to members of the Armed Forces.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sawant said, “The Sainik Aramgarh stands as a symbol of our deep gratitude to the brave men and women of our Armed Forces. This facility will ensure that our soldiers and veterans always have a home in Goa — a place of dignity, comfort and respect.”
He further added, “Goa stands firmly with its soldiers — in service, in sacrifice, and in honour. This project reflects our collective commitment to their welfare and well-being.”
The facility at Bambolim has been designed to cater to the needs of serving personnel as well as retired servicemen, offering them a dedicated space during their stay in the State.
Senior government officials, defence representatives and ex-servicemen were present for the inauguration ceremony.
