Saligao: In a move to address long-standing issues at the Sangolda crematorium, Saligao MLA and GSIDC Vice Chairman Kedar Naik recently conducted a thorough inspection of the facility.
This visit, which took place in the presence of local officials and residents, aimed to assess the needs for the crematorium’s redevelopment.
The inspection also focused on improving the approach road, ensuring better accessibility and more dignified arrangements for conducting last rites.
Key stakeholders involved in the inspection included Shri Sandeep Bandodkar, Zilla Panchayat Member for Reis Magos, Smt Divya Dubhashi, Junior Engineer at the PWD Buildings Division, Ravi Chavan, Technical Assistant at PWD Division XIII, Smt Neeta Kandolkar, Sarpanch of Sangolda Panchayat, and several panchayat members and local residents.
MLA Naik emphasized that repair and hot-mixing work on the approach road will commence soon, marking a significant step towards enhancing the overall experience for those visiting the crematorium.
