VASCO: Vasco MLA Krishna Daji Salkar made a surprise visit to the Mormugao Mamlatdar office on Thursday to check the network connectivity and the functioning of the Mamlatdar office staff.
During the visit, Salkar assured to shift Mamlatdar office staff to spacious and better premises soon.
Salkar and councillor Girish Borkar, BJP senior member Jayant Jadhav, and others gave surprise visits to the Mormugao Mamlatdar office operational in Ravindra Bhavan Baina ground floor due to the ongoing renovation work of the municipality building for the past few months.
After the disruption of internet connectivity in the Mamlatdar office of Vasco was highlighted by some netizens on social media platforms over the last few days. Vasco MLA Salkar took cognisance of the issue after some reporters brought this to the notice of Salkar.
During his visit, Salkar interacted with the administrative staff of Vasco Mamlatdar’s office and enquired about the ongoing work.
He later told reporters that the internet service was resumed to normal and working smoothly on Wednesday.
Salkar said that he will soon shift the Mamlatdar office to other spacious premises since the existing premises lack proper ventilation and the heat is unbearable for the office staff to work.
