SANCOALE: Vasco Police filed a complaint against Diksha Talavanekar, a lady from Sancoale, for allegedly defrauding Mina Gurudas Chodankar of Rs 3 lakh under the guise of promising her a government job.
According to reports, the incident occurred at Vasco in November 2019 and involved the accused making a commitment to get her a government job but not following through on it.
As stated in the grievance submitted by Chodankar, a local the accused, Mogabai resident Kantem Baina, persuaded her to pay Rs 3 lakh in order to get her a position as a peon in the Vasco Government School.
But after receiving the money, the accused reportedly cheated by failing to give her the promised employment and failing to refund the money. The Indian Penal Code’s (IPC) section 420 has been used to file the offence.
The situation is being investigated further by Vasco Police.
