Sanquelim: Adding another feather to Goa’s cap, Sanquelim has been awarded the State-level “Promising Swachh Sheher” title at the Swachh Survekshan Awards 2024-25. The award was presented by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Urban Development, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
This recognition highlights Sanquelim’s grassroots efforts in urban sanitation, including strengthened door-to-door waste collection, promotion of source segregation, and active citizen participation in cleanliness drives.
Expressing his appreciation, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant was thanked for his continued guidance and vision in driving the Swachh Bharat Mission across Goa.
The award is a tribute to the dedication of Sanquelim’s municipal leadership, sanitation workers, and its residents, whose collective efforts made the honour possible.
Sanquelim now joins the growing list of Goan cities contributing to a cleaner, sustainable, and vibrant Goa, in line with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
