Panaji:
In what be termed as a partial relief to mining dependent’s, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant informed that the Supreme Court of India has permitted transportation of iron ore up to January 31.
The Chief minister said that this order of Supreme Court will bring some respite to mining depends during the pandemic times.
“Around 4 million tonnes is still to be transported and they (miners) had pleaded that they be allowed to transport non-realty paid ore also,” Sawant said.
In January, the SC had allowed transportation of royalty paid ore, however due to pandemic the mine owners said they could not complete transportation.
