CANACONA: 51 year old Datta Gaonkar of Barcem, Quepem succumbs to his motor vehicle self accident injuries while undergoing treatment at GMC Bambolim.
According to Canacona police, the deceased had met with a vehicular self accident on 26th Nov ( Tuesday) at around 09.00 hours at Molorem-Lhola in Canacona while he was proceeding from Barcem to GowalKhola on his TVS Jupiter scooter bearing registration no. GA 09 AC 0053. Since the accident took place in the jurisdiction of Canacona police station , the self accident was registered at Canacona PS.
Canacona Police on Wednesday upon the receipt of wireless message from CP GMC Bambolim were informed that the patient namely Datta s/o Pandu Gaonkar, Age 51 yrs, r/o H.no. 534/A, Velipwada, Barcem, Quepem, who was undergoing treatment as a case of vehicle accident expired in ward no 108.
Canacona Police said no foul play is suspected, and further during enquiry Canacona police visited GMC Bambolim and conducted inquest Panchnama and dead body referred to PM examination and Police Surgeon conducted autopsy over the dead body and certified the cause of death as “damage to head and face associated with fracture dislocation of left shoulder joint consequent to blunt force impact by surface and /or object.”
Canacona PS UD no. 43/2024 u/s 194 BNSS 2023 and the dead body is handed over to family for final rights as fFurther enquiry is conducted by PSI Ramdas Doifode of Canacona PS.
