PORVORIM: Congress MLA Aleixo Sequeira today presumed that the affidavit signed by Congress candidates before polls was only applicable if Congress came to power.
“I do not know what the affidavit we signed was. I presume the affidavit was applicable only if we came to power and would not topple the Congress government,’ said Sequeira.
He further said that he was with Congress and there was no plan to quit the party.
“I am not aware of any political developments happening yesterday. I was relaxing at home”, he said.
When asked why he did not attend the CLP meeting last night, he said it was very late, and his driver had already left for home.
Aleixo said that he was informed about the CLP meeting only at 8.30 or 9 pm, and it was raining heavily.
