PANAJI: A state-level programme, “Seva Ki Kahani – Seva Sankalp Abhiyan,” will be held on October 2 to commemorate the 25-year public-service journey of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and mark six years of the Swayampurna Goa programme.
Swayampurna Goa was launched on October 2, 2020, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, with a focus on ensuring last-mile delivery of government schemes and services and strengthening local livelihoods.
Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be the chief guest at the programme.
A key highlight of the event will be the launch of GOA FRESH, a distinctive identity for Goa’s home-grown produce. The initiative will bring together local products and the state’s agricultural heritage under a common identity.
Departmental stalls will also be set up at the venue, showcasing various Central and State Government schemes, programmes and services. Beneficiaries will have an opportunity to obtain information on the benefits and assistance available under different government schemes.
The programme will further showcase the interventions undertaken through Swayampurna Goa, including last-mile delivery of government schemes and services, support to farmers and measures aimed at strengthening local livelihoods.
The event is expected to provide a platform to highlight the progress of Swayampurna Goa over the past six years and bring government initiatives and services closer to beneficiaries.
