PANAJI: Revenue Minister Babush Monserrate said that the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is handling the land grabbing cases, have not demanded for any documents from his department.
“Special Investigation Team investigating the land grab cases has not approached his dept for any documents so far.,” said Monserrate.
He further said that if SIT asks, the officers will have to give them and that his department will fully cooperate with the SIT.
Goa Director General of Police Jaspal Singh has said that all the cases of land irregularities in the state will be transferred to the newly-formed Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The SIT has gathered various leads resulting in his arrest, with more arrests of fraudsters likely in the coming days.
The Goa government constituted SIT to investigate various complaints and FIRs pertaining to the matter.
