Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte on Tuesday said that Speaker Rajesh Patnekar could possibly hold the assembly session virtually or through an online mode, if he was afraid of the rising cases of Covid 19 in the State.
“This session was very important for me and I was waiting for the assembly session since a long time. If the speaker was afraid of the rising cases in Goa, he could possibly take the session through online mode.” said Khaunte
Khaunte said that there were many important issues that were needed to be discussed on priority basis. Also the budget needed to be passed.
He added “The budged needed to passed and also most significantly wanted to dicuss about on the steps of how we could review the states economy which is currently in bad shape.”
It can be recalled that Speaker Rajesh Patnekar, legislators had arrived at a mutual consensus to curtail the upcoming 10-day monsoon session to a one-day duration.
