PORVORIM: Speaker Rajesh Patnekar today dismissed one of the applications filed by the 2 defecting Ex-MGP MLAs Dy CM Babu Azgaonkar and PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar seeking cross examination of the witnesses and the petitioner MGP Leader Sudin Dhavlikar.
Speaker heard MGP’s MLA disqualification matter today.
“The order awaited is order on merits and order on the application on production of documents,” informed MGP counsel Daval Zaveri.
“Speaker will take correct decision,” said Sudin, expressing satisfaction over today’s decision by the speaker.
On March 10, the Speaker had called Dhavalikar for some queries after which the petitioner withdrew one of the two disqualification petitions filed against two former MGP legislators Manohar `Babu’ Ajgaonkar and Deepak Pauskar, who joined BJP in the wee hours of March 27, 2019.
Later, both Ajgaonkar and Pauskar were inducted as Cabinet Ministers after dropping the then Deputy Chief Minister Sudin Dhavalikar from the Cabinet.
