PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that there is a need to tweak state health laws to protect medical professionals, more importantly in the private sector.
“To ensure the safety of our doctors, we are also implementing crucial changes at GMC, including the installation of security cameras and revising laws to better protect doctors,” said Rane
He further said that he fully supports the Goa doctors’ strike and understand their concerns and Swift and strict action should be taken against the perpetrators.
“I strongly condemn the recent horrific incident in West Bengal involving the heinous crime against an innocent doctor. My heartfelt condolences go to the victim’s family,” he added
Rane said that this tragedy highlights the urgent need for enhanced safety measures for healthcare workers.
The Minister also said that this incident reminds us of the challenges our healthcare workers face daily.
“PM Modi has consistently emphasized the importance of safeguarding our medical professionals, recognizing their vital role in building a healthy nation,” he said
Minister also said that we must unite to ensure the safety and dignity of those who dedicate their lives to saving others.
