PONDA: A case has been registered at Ponda Police Station following a complaint by Manisha Usgaonkar, a resident of Usgaon, over a late-night stone pelting incident that caused panic in the area.
As per the complaint, the incident occurred on April 20, 2026, during late night hours when unknown persons allegedly acted in a rash and negligent manner by pelting stones at her house in Usgaon, Ponda. The act created fear among the complainant and her family members and posed a potential risk to life and property.
Police said the incident led to disturbance and panic in the household, raising concerns over safety in the locality.
An offence has been registered against unknown accused persons, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Prajyot Bakhale of Ponda Police Station.
