Goyant Kollso Naka today has announced to intesify their agitation with the state governemnt failing to fullfill their demands to stop coal handling at MPT, transportation through Goa sand scraping double tracking of SWR as the protestorsmarched to the secretariat.
“Goyant Kollso Naka has written several representations to you and representatives of the State and Union Governments on the subject matters stating relevant facts and arguments and placing the demands of the people of Goa,” GKN said
GKN further said that since the governemnt to respond to these non-negotiable demands despite several representations and protests, the people of Goa are compelled to intensify the agitation from now onwards, to protect the interests of our Nation, our State, our communities and the future generations.
“We have time and again placed before you and the Government Authorities numerous evidences proving without an iota of doubt that coal transportation through Goa must be stopped along with related infrastructure projects that Goa’s rivers and coasts must be maintained under the control and autonomy of the local communities, and that solar power, and not fossil fuels, is the way forward.,” they said
GKN also said that state governemnt have no facts or arguments to justify your failure to accept the people’s decisions.
“We wish to remind you that the people of Goa are aware united and determined to ensure that the Will of the People and that the rights and aspirations of our children are protected and fulfilled at any cost. We must remind you that time is running out, while the cries of our future generations, this land and our Democratic Republic become increasingly unbearable,” GKN added
