MAPUSA: In a tragic incident, a girl student from a school in Guirim lost her life after being struck by a hockey ball during practice on the school ground.
According to available information, the incident took place on the last day of practice while the student was playing on the field. During the session, the hockey ball reportedly hit her, causing serious injuries.
School authorities and others present immediately rushed the injured student to the District Hospital in Mapusa for medical treatment. However, despite efforts by doctors, she later succumbed to her injuries.
