The Education Department on Friday has clarified that the suicide of Jeevan Kullu is not due to lack of a mobile phone, as his brother and parents have clarified that he was already in possession of a smartphone.
In an inquiry conducted by the Department, it is revealed that the said boy was very calm and had a helping nature. Overall he was a good child with average academic performances.
Jeevan Kullu was studying in Std. Xth at St. Elizabeth High School, Pomburpha.
Late Jeevan Kullu’s brother who is a priest also denied it to be a suicide due to lack of a mobile phone.
Attributing illogical reasons to a tragic event on part of journalists who have not investigated the event fully is reprehensible.
