PANAJI:Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on stressed the need to prioritise mental well-being on a daily basis, saying emotional health should not be addressed only during times of crisis.
Highlighting the importance of awareness and accessible support systems, Rane said encouraging people to speak openly about mental health is essential for building a more resilient and supportive society.
Referring to the Tele MANAS initiative, the minister said the programme is helping create a responsive and confidential platform for individuals seeking guidance and emotional support during difficult periods.
He noted that an increasing number of people are now coming forward to seek help and participate in conversations around mental health, describing it as a positive social shift towards openness and acceptance.
Rane further emphasised the need to continue normalising discussions on mental health and ensuring that counselling, care and support services reach people across every part of Goa.
