DHARBANDORA: The state-run sugar factory at Dayanandnagar-Dharbandora, Sanjivani Sahakar Sakhar Karkhana, has officially stopped production, but factory officials have found unknown individuals stealing valuables from the godown.
A police station in Ponda has received a complaint in this regard.
According to Ponda police, factory storekeeper Shyam Prabhu discovered through CCTV footage that two people had broken into the factory godown and left with valuables estimated to be worth Rs 3 lakh.
“Prabhu filed the complaint on Monday, and following a preliminary inquiry on Friday, we filed a theft charge against unidentified individuals,” Ponda police stated.
