The State reported third COVID-19 death on Saturday, less than a week after two patients died on a single day on June 22.
The patient is identified as a 76-year-old woman who was admitted to COVID-19 hospital in Margao. She was shifted from a private hospital about a week back.
On June 22, two deaths were reported of 85-year-old and 58-year-old positive patients.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, while informing the first death had tweeted, “This is the first COVID death reported in the state. We assureĀ the people that our team is doing everything to keep our people safe and are following the strictest measures that are in place. This is an unfortunate incident and I stand with the family in their time of grief.”
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday had admitted community transmission in Goa.
