VASCO: Three students from a college in Zuarinagar experienced a miraculous escape after a piece of false ceiling crashed down during class on Wednesday, resulting in minor injuries.
The incident occurred around 11 AM on the second floor of the building.
“The class was ongoing when a section of the false ceiling suddenly fell, causing minor injuries to three students. The injured students were promptly attended to and transported to a hospital by a 108 ambulance. They were discharged after receiving primary first aid,” said a source.
The source said that the sudden incident left the students frightened, but college authorities quickly took control of the situation.
“The students were scared, but they were immediately attended to, and we called for a 108 ambulance to take them to the hospital. We also informed the police to investigate the incident in detail. Recent incessant rains have caused several issues for the college, including damage to the infrastructure. The college has faced several damages in the last few days due to heavy rains. Many trees have crashed onto newly added roofings, and an electrical pole also fell recently due to the rains.” the source added.
