CANACONA: Stating education helps in unifying the nation, Union minister of State for Power Shripad Naik said Knowledge is the highest charity one can do.
Naik was speaking at the Centenary celebrative function of Shri Damodar Vidyalaya, Loliem expressed his opinion that Shri Damodar Vidyalaya should be remembered as a institutions that provide education for increasing national unity and integrity working for a glorious India with the strength of devotion and power.
Speaking further Shripad Naik said , ‘The development of patriotic thoughts is the root of a developed nation (India) and today’s students need not only education but patriotic culture imbibed by teachers, parents and institution leaders by working with selfless spirit to prepare today’s students .’

‘The educational institutes in Painginim, Loliem run on social unity without any discriminations and baseless assertions in mind. ‘But today there has been a huge change in education.
Education is available everywhere, but the sensitivity in the child gets lost and Humanity is lacking. A destructive attitude is taking refuge in students minds’.
Tavadkar expressed the need to provide humane education for the new generation which is not only prosperous but very ideal for the formation of the society.
‘The monster called mobile has made today’s generation crazy and vulnerable, ‘said Dr. Prashant Sathe, a national executive member of All India University Council and said, Today’s youth power has a great responsibility. ‘While Indianizing education, there is a need to provide education with
a pride in the mother tongue.
The spread of education should go down to the lowest strata of the society and thus children should be developed mentally. He explained that education to control the mind is the need of the hour, saying that even an organization has a body, mind, intellect and soul.
On the occasion, prizes were distributed by the chief guests to the students who had achieved success in the 5th to 10th examinations from the school. Ratnisha Tolu Gaonkar, ranked 1st from the school in the 10th examination.
Meritorious student Arya Satarkar, best student Havish Konkare, friendly student Arya Pagi, Soham Pagi, Srivats Pagi, Gauri Gawkar, Kalyan Raut, Anant Amshekar, Uttej Satarkar, Prince Dhuri, Yashasvi Kudtarkar, Arav Pagi and other students were awarded prizes.
The program was cConducted by teachers Shraddha Desai, Prettal Fernandes, Riddhi Acharya. Earlierr Saunstha President Vishwajit Warik welcomed, School Headmaster Jitendra Amshekar gave introduction and Rohan Desai proposed vote of thanks.
