Colva: The Tourist Police Unit personnel on patrolling duty at Colva Beach recovered a bag containing valuables reportedly stolen from a tourist on Wednesday evening.
According to police, at around 4:30 pm on March 11, the patrolling staff noticed two suspicious persons carrying a bag at the beach. On questioning and searching the suspects, the police recovered three mobile phones and two RuPay prepaid cards from the bag.
The tourist who had reported the bag missing was called to the spot and he identified the bag along with the belongings as his.
Police said the recovered items are collectively valued at approximately ₹1.64 lakh.
The suspects along with the recovered property were handed over to Colva Police Station for further necessary action.
