BAGA: Four visitors were taken into custody by police after they were allegedly involved in a vandalism incident at a beach shack in Baga, a well-known tourist destination in North Goa.
The incident is believed to have occurred after a disagreement at the establishment, which reportedly led to damage of property at the site. Following the complaint, police officials intervened and detained the group for inquiry to ascertain the sequence of events and responsibility for the alleged destruction.
Authorities have not released further details about the tourists involved as the investigation is still in progress. Officials are also assessing the extent of damage caused during the incident.
The Baga coastal belt, which attracts heavy tourist footfall throughout the year, has seen a rise in such disturbances recently, prompting heightened vigilance by local law enforcement.
