PANAJI: Vehicular movement across Patto Bridge came to a halt from 10:00 AM on April 11 through April 14, 2025, as authorities undertook crucial repairs on the bridge’s expansion joints.
As a result, traffic heading into Panaji was rerouted near Kaju Darbar via the Old Patto Bridge, causing noticeable delays and congestion.
This isn’t the first time the bridge has undergone maintenance. In a previous instance in November 2024, overnight closures were enforced for similar repairs, which led to long traffic jams during morning hours.
Motorists are encouraged to monitor traffic updates and consider alternate routes during such periods to avoid disruptions.
