CANACONA: A trailer-carrier carrying Four New Carsfor delivery to a showroom in Goa fell off the NH-66 road at Barcem (Quepem) on Friday evening.
All the four Cars are believed to have damaged, as the Carrier-Vehicle has also suffered serious damages to it’s A-xil and even Brake Liners has snapped out after the Carrier went off the narrow NH66 road a few metres of the Karmalghat at Barcem (Padi) side. The driver who named himself as Tausif informed him to take then vehicle slightly to the left to provide sufficient space to an oncoming heavy vehicle, the Trailer –Carrier fell into a roadside glitch and turned turtle before falling in the fields below. The trailer-carrier itself suffered serious mechanical damages braking its Axil, and snapping of brake pads, etc.
The Carrier coming via Karnataka was reportedly transporting four (4) new cars to be delivered to a showroom in Goa, and all the four cars have reportedly suffered unknown damages.
According to the Driver, it is becoming very difficult to drive on the narrow NH66 road, especially in Goa section, where the road is very treacherous and dangerous for the vehicles particularly heavy vehicles. ‘The road inspite of being a national highway is very narrow and it is extremely difficult for two vehicles to cross each-other. I had slightly took turned the wheels to cleaner side, and the front tyres into a pit and turned turtle causing severe mechanical damages to the Trailer.’.
