ASSAGAO: Grass cottages being transported in a truck were gutted in fire after they came in contact with electric wires at Assagao.
Traffic Police who noticed the fire alerted the truck driver averting any further tragedy.
“The grass cottages which were loaded in the truck came in contact with the electrical overhead cables, and this is how the fire tragedy struck,” witnesses said.
As soon as the fire was noticed, the traffic police alerted the driver, and the truck was brought to a halt.
Emergency services were called in for help, and the fire was controlled.
The truck driver escaped unhurt.
