Panaji: The Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) has commended the Goa Tourist Police Unit for taking firm action against unauthorized hawkers and vendors operating on Arambol beach.
In a press statement, TTAG said it has consistently raised concerns about the growing menace of unauthorized hawkers, vendors, and touts on Goa’s beaches and roads, which negatively impact the tourism experience.
“We are glad that the Goa Tourist Police Unit has started taking tough action on these matters, which affect tourism in Goa,” the association stated, adding that such enforcement should be continued to send a strong message that illegal activities will not be tolerated.
TTAG also urged both locals and tourists to cooperate with the authorities by reporting unauthorized hawkers, vendors, and touts, emphasizing that collective efforts are needed to maintain Goa’s image as a safe and welcoming tourist destination.
