PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today has assured to issue tender for road connectivity at Tuem Electronic City by April and completion of work by October 2025.
Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar raised concerns about the lack of road access to Tuem Electronic City, calling it a major project.
Arolkar sought details about the pending work and an estimated timeline for completion. Additionally, he inquired whether the government had proposed connecting the Cluster to the National Highway.
“Willissue tender for road connectivity at Tuem Electronic City by April and completion of work by October 2025. Basic infrastructure is already in place, a 2.7 km road has been proposed, and the road will be completed within six months,” said Sawanr
He also mentioned that land acquisition is underway and will be finalized soon.
MLA Jit said that EMC project has been halted for 8 long years and there’s no development on it.
However, the main reason for the delay in starting the facility was the construction of the main 2.6-km-long approach road connecting to the NH.
